Nissan Expands Recall On VC-Turbo Engine To Over 600,000 Vehicles

Last year, Nissan issued a fairly massive recall for vehicles with its clever, but complicated, VC-Turbo engines. The engines, which have some extra linkages to vary the compression ratio of the engine cylinders on the fly, were suffering bearing damage. That led to engine failures and replacements, and more than 400,000 vehicles were included in the subsequent recall. That recall just got bigger with hundreds of thousands of additional Nissan Rogues. Not only that, but another sizable, but unrelated recall was issued for some of the same vehicles.
