  • Nissan will show four wild concepts at SEMA for sand, forest, and track.
  • The Dune Patrol is a beefed-up Armada built for extreme off-roading.
  • A classic Y60 Patrol gets a 1,000-hp engine and rally-inspired setup.

Nissan is turning up the heat for SEMA Show 2025, revealing four distinct builds that push its lineup into wilder territory. The collection includes a dune-bashing Armada, an open-air version of the Frontier, a thousand-horsepower Y60 Patrol, and a race-ready Z Nismo.

Starting with the largest of the group, the Dune Patrol takes the Armada Pro-4X and reworks it into what Nissan describes as “an ultra-comfortable support vehicle for the most extreme off-road events.” Its foundations are familiar, but the details tell a different story, with a suite of Nismo Off Road parts and hardware.

The SUV rolls on 18-inch Nismo beadlock wheels wrapped in 37-inch mud-terrain tires and supported by a long-travel racing suspension. The bodywork gains wider fenders, steel bumpers, and an array of auxiliary LEDs that light up the dunes like daylight.

A roof rack spans the top, while storage and mounting points inside and out make room for just about any kind of gear an off-road crew could need.

Next up is the Nissan Frontier Rapid Runner by Powernation TV. The follow-up to the Project Trailgater from last year is the perfect truck companion for white-water kayaking.

The build started with a Frontier Pro-4X, adding the suspension and axles from the larger Titan. The wider and taller stance is complemented by a new set of 16-inch Nismo Ascend wheels wrapped in 37-inch M/T rubber.

Exterior highlights include the new bumpers, the bolt-on fender extensions, the tubular doors leaving the cabin semi-exposed, the striking livery, and the combination of a roof rack and a bed rack packing the relevant kayaking gear.

Furthermore, the truck has special storage for paddle and wetsuits, a portable shower, solar panels, Covercraft waterproof seat covers and lined floors.

The rugged concepts will be joined by a rally-prepped Y60-generation Patrol by Forsberg Racing. The classic off-roader is fitted with a modified turbo TB48 4.8-liter inline-six engine generating 1,000 horsepower.

It also rides on an uprated suspension and 17-inch wheels shod in 35-inch tires. The exterior looks clean with wide fenders and a retro livery, plus four extra LEDs on the grille.

Last but not least, the Nismo GT-Z is also the work of Forsberg Racing, with track-focused upgrades. This is not just a SEMA built but a full-blown race car that will compete at the Grildlife GLGT series in 2026.

Visually, the GT-Z stands out thanks to the custom livery with Nismo colors and graphics, the side gills, the sharper splitter, and the large rear wing. It rides on 18-inch Nismo LM-RS1 wheels with forged lug nuts, shod in Yokohama Advan tires.

Under the skin, it features adjustable coilover suspension, an upgraded twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, and a cat-back track exhaust with stainless downpipes. Together with the GT-Z, Nissan will exhibit a Nismo racing simulator allowing gaming enthusiasts to drive the model in the digital world.

All four builds will be on display at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 4 to 7, each representing a different facet of Nissan’s performance and engineering capabilities. A preview video below offers a closer look at the Dune Patrol and Frontier Rapid Runner in action.
