Newlywed Man Killed by Wife Three Days After Wedding

A wave of shock and grief has swept through the Tashar Aibo community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State following the alleged murder of a young man by his wife, just three days after their wedding. The victim, identified as Abubakar Dan Gaske Mai Nasara, a well-known local maize seller, was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife, Aisha Muhammad, on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

According to neighbors and local sources, the tragic incident occurred in the afternoon while Abubakar was resting at home. Witnesses claim that Aisha attacked her husband with a knife, inflicting a fatal wound to his neck as he slept. The couple had tied the knot on Thursday, November 20, 2025, marking the beginning of what was expected to be a joyful union. However, the motive behind the alleged attack remains unclear, leaving the community in disbelief.

Abubakar, described by residents as a humble, hardworking, and widely respected individual, was mourned by many who gathered around his shop on Sunday, struggling to process the sudden loss. “He was a peaceful man, dedicated to his family and trade. This is unimaginable,” said a neighbor who preferred to remain anonymous.
