Ghanaian music star, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has said what he regrets most in life is not becoming a lawyer.

The 39-year-old Grammy winning singer stated this in a recent interview with Stefania Okereke on the BBC.

Shatta Wale lawyer

Shatta Wale said he doesn’t feel fulfilled despite being a successful multi-award-winning musician.

He said; “My biggest regret in life is that I didn’t become a lawyer.”

He said he is still contemplating becoming a lawyer “when I make enough money. I know I’m a successful musician, but I wanted to be a lawyer.”

Meanwhile, in other news…

Shatta Wale has said the successes of Nigerian artistes have made the achievements of their Ghanaian counterparts to look insignificant.

The dancehall king as he is fondly called, said the Ghanaian music industry is like a “feeding bottle” compared to the Nigerian industry, which he described as a “Hennessy bottle”.

He made the comparison while congratulating Afrobeats sensation, Ahmed ”Asake” Ololade, on his recently sold out concert at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

Taking to Twitter, the artiste wrote; “Nigerians are making Ghana music look like feeding bottle compared to Hennessy bottle. Congrats to Asake meeenn!!!

“You guys deh run tooo fast …F*ck PS: Some Ghana man say how do they do it? Me: when you stop judging people here like you are angels,I think we can get the formula. Naija is winning BIG TIME !!! My people.”
