Most Nigerian youths are members of APC – Chairman Yilwatda says

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has said that the majority of Nigerian youths are members of the ruling party.

Yilwatda made this known during an interview on Politics on Sunday on TVC.

In the interview seen by Dockaysworld, the APC chairman stated that nearly half of the party’s registered members fall within the 18 to 35 age bracket, describing the party as youthful compared to previous perceptions.

He said the ongoing membership e-registration exercise has shown that young Nigerians are largely aligned with the APC.

According to him, this countered claims that youths were mainly associated with other political figures or groups.

The APC national chairman disclosed that the party is targeting over 20 million registered members across the country.

According to him, the party has already surpassed 11 million members and is closing in on 12 million.

He added that the APC has no plans to halt its membership registration exercise. He added that that the process remains open as the party continues to expand its membership base nationwide.
