Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Adamawa State Chapter will soon launch intensive awareness programmes on street begging with a view to sensitize parents about the dangers of leaving their children to roam the streets.

This is contained in a communique issued at the end of its recent General Assembly Meeting held in Yola, explained that it will commence outreaches to identified communities.

It said the sensitisation will be in radio stations for the enhancement of good parenting.

The session also called on wealthy Muslims and other Islamic organizations to attach priority to the empowerment of Muslims especially Muslim youths in skills, ICT, and other vocations.

It also urged Muslim media practitioners to stick to the ethics of truths and fairness in discharging their duties as enshrined by Islam.

It also called on Muslim media practitioners to imbibe personal social responsibilities as a duty to promote unity, cohesion and understanding within the Muslim communities.
It also called on Muslim political office holders to place the interest of the religion above partisanship.

Participants also identify the need for Islamic organizations to launch intensive campaigns/sensitizations of Muslim youths against spreading fake news because of the dangerous consequences of such endeavours.
