A mentally ill woman has given birth to a baby boy after going into labour on the streets of Agasha, located in Benue State.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, when residents noticed the woman in distress during labour. She was quickly rushed to the Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), Agasha, where medical personnel assisted her in safely delivering the baby.

Health officials at the facility confirmed that laboratory tests were carried out on the woman following the delivery. They also stated that both the mother and the newborn are currently stable but require proper care, attention, and support.
