ONE Friday Fights 29 takes place tomorrow and two MENA fighters are hoping to make a huge impression at the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok. Iran’s Fariyar Aminipour will be looking to continue his perfect record in ONE Championship, while Moroccan Wail Karroumi will be making his debut with the organisation. And fight fans in the region will be able to watch all the action unfold exclusively live on BEIN Sports. 23-year-old Aminipour is quickly establishing his presence in the bantamweight Muay Thai division, having earned three hard fought victories since joining ONE in February this year. The up and coming prospect will face arguably his toughest test to date when he takes on the experienced Thai fighter Pongsiri PK Saenchai. A veteran of more than 200 Muay Thai encounters, including 159 wins, Pongsiri has also won his last three fights in ONE and will be looking to build on his momentum. Aminipour, fighting out of Tiger Muay Thai, has looked sharp in his three previous fights and training footage shared on social media shows an ever-evolving fighter. A fourth win in ONE, against a strong opponent would further enhance his bantamweight credentials. Morocco’s Wali Karroumi is another athlete fighting out of the famed Tiger Muay Thai, and like Aminipour is another bantamweight. The 29-year-old will make his first ONE appearance, and faces a tough test against Russia’s Elbrus Osmanov who has won both his ONE fights to date. This continues the strong presence of MENA fighters in ONE, and in particular the ONE Friday Fights series. Karroumi is the fourth Moroccan to start on the cards, while Aminipour joins a lengthy list of Iranian fighters to gain success. You can watch ONE Friday Fights 29 on Friday August 18 at 15:30 GST on BEIN Sport 1 EN.
