Maximum Carnage had mininal impact on AEW Dynamite ratings

The TV ratings and viewership data are in for the Jan. 14 episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

The episode was branded with a “Maximum Carnage” subtitle (and without Cletus Kasidy, and nary a symbiote in sight) and main event-ed by MJF defending the AEW World title against ROH World champion Bandido. It had 526,000 total viewers with a .08 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic, per PWTorch’s report on the last Wednesday’s Nielson ratings. That’s a 2% increase in the overall audience from the previous week. The demo figure was unchanged.

The full cable ratings for last week aren’t out yet, but live competition came from an NBA doubleheader on ESPN, an NHL double-dip on sister station TNT, and mutiple college basketball games. Programming Insider says the Tim Allen and Kat Dennings’ sitcom Shifting Gears again won the night on broadcast for ABC with a .45 rating from 4.3 million viewers.

Here’s a breakdown of AEW Dynamite’s television viewership and rating in the 18-49 demo over the last year:

* Aired outside its normal Wednesday night primetime slot
º Nielsen began using Big Data + Panel methodology
