Luke Littler spends £1m on stunning new home after winning World Darts Championship

Luke Littler has put his £1million World Darts Championship prize money towards purchasing a luxury mansion on the outskirts of Warrington, Cheshire, where he grew up.

The 18-year-old, known as "The Nuke", has acquired a sprawling five-bedroom corner plot property that he intends to serve as a permanent residence for his mother Lisa, 42, and taxi driver father Anthony Buckley, 45.

A source close to the teenage sensation revealed that Littler wants the house to be his parents' "forever home", telling the Daily Mail: "Luke's a young man. He's bought this place and is living there with his mum and dad but in time he'll spread his wings and the hope is they will stay there."

Estate agents have described the residence as a "stunning extended family home" situated in a highly sought-after location.

The property features five bathrooms to match its bedrooms, along with underfloor heating, a log-burning stove, bi-fold doors, and wine coolers throughout the high-specification kitchen.

Its master suite includes a separate dressing room, vaulted ceiling, and a Juliette balcony with views over the rear garden.

The outdoor space has been designed with entertaining in mind, boasting artificial lawns, resin patios, raised beds, and a bar area alongside a hot tub positioned beneath a pergola.

Solar panels and a double garage with space for multiple vehicles complete the impressive specification.

The purchase represents a remarkable transformation in circumstances for the Littler family, who previously lived in a modest £180,000 two-bedroom semi-detached house in the town.

The source close to Littler added: "It's not a bad Christmas present for them but it's only what they deserve having done everything to help him get where he is today."

Before his meteoric rise in professional darts, Littler spent his early childhood in nearby Runcorn before relocating to Warrington, where he attended Padgate Academy.

The family had been renting an exclusive property in the area for £6,000 monthly following his breakthrough onto the professional circuit at just 16 years old.

Littler secured his second world title last week with a commanding 7-1 triumph over Gian van Veen at Alexandra Palace, successfully defending the crown he claimed sensationally at 17.

The victory pushed his career prize money beyond £2m across just two years on the professional circuit, supplemented by sponsorship agreements and Premier League earnings.

His estimated net worth stood at approximately £6.5m prior to his latest Ally Pally success.

Reflecting on his earnings, Littler said: "Obviously, it's a lot of money. I'm the first player to break the £2million mark. Hopefully, I can try and get up to £3million."

He added: "Obviously, the money's there.

"I've said it before in the past, us as a family we've never had this sort of money."
