Lookman, Dessers boost Super Eagles camp in Uyo

Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers have joined the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

The update was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon by the team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, who revealed that 18 players are now in camp, with five more expected in the coming days.

Dessers heads into the qualifiers fresh from sealing a permanent transfer from Scottish giants Rangers to Greek side Panathinaikos. Lookman, meanwhile, remains at Atalanta after his proposed switch to Inter Milan collapsed, despite interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Nigeria will host Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday, September 6, before facing South Africa three days later.
