Like as a computer science graduate is very misunderstanding in Nigeria

Like as a computer science graduate is very misunderstanding in Nigeria. I remembered when someone used to see me on my laptop and was complaining that I dey lazy about. Bomb I no dey bomb, fraud small mba nu! Chaii, na still them dey use WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube for their activities including the church. What I want to say is being a web developer or app developer is not a lazy job and a easy one for that. Your brain works faster as the computer is. Elon Musk started his career with PayPal and Zip2 and these are products of web development.

Now you see Elon Musk is not only seen as the richest man but as the most important and intelligent person in the world. Even your famous pastors and well known Imams are talking about him. For his wealth and more on his intellectuals. So as the computer is running fast, it needs brains that can guide it faster. I am happy I studied and graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Federal Polytechnic Ekowe, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.

Because if there is nothing to show forth. Doactalk is a history, and doacWeb is the present — these are the products of what I learnt and have built. I did not build doacWeb from the foundation, 2Star Technology did, and I paid them off for their service. And I was able to build the RSS Feed Aggregator system. That's DO NEWSFEED as it is called on doacWeb. Showing news from different chosen websites and resources over the internet. I am happy to build something that people found meaningful in their daily lives, especially from Singapore, India, China and USA

Our audience from Nigeria is taking a big shift, I am happy for that growing audience from Nigeria. It might be a lazy job but remember AI tools come from from it, ChatGPT is good example of it. My web development and web business mentor, Hon. Wari Denyefa said something I will always remember: we have many graduates from computer science but only few brain workers that think and change the world using computers. The difference is that one have the certificate and doing well, the others have the brain and doing great.

I will add by saying, the world only knows those that are great not those that are well. You are feeding well, and nobody aside from your social media followers know you. But when you become great, the world will turn attention on you. From that evening, I choose to be great and not doing well. I chose to pursue excellence and not survival. Funny, an economic teacher told me during my SS 1, because naturally I don't care about economic. He said to me in front of the whole class. Here is his statement:

“Augustine, people like you hardly get jobs in Nigeria. Gettat of my class.”

Executive, I am here to tell you, he is right. That's why I built my own companies. I am not going to the market to look for jobs, I am the one giving jobs and contributing to the economy of nations. “And I will make you, Didi-Omah, a company of nations...” that was what God said to me in Genesis 35 vs. 11. And today doacWeb is global from that lazy job on the laptop. Programming is a very hard job even with AI you can still mess up! It requires the brain more than the hands.

And it affected me truly. Physically I look like someone that doesn't like heavy duty, but when it comes to mentally, companies hire me for clearing. Because behind every battle there is someone in a secret room plotting the strategies. Because you only win wars by strategies not by strength. By the end of this third quarter, check doacWeb quarterly report, you will see the goodness of what I am saying. This I want the world to know, God is the source of my wealth not my business. I read a lot yes, but I understand more because God grant me understanding to all. God is the source! Hallelujah!
