Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced the Post UTME and Direct Entry screening form for 2026/2027 undergraduate admission.

The online registration portal will be opened from Monday, 15 June to Sunday, 12 July 2026 and eligible candidates will be expected to complete the application through the university admission portal.

Who Can Apply for LAUTECH Post UTME 2026/2027?

The screening is for candidates who selected LAUTECH, Ogbomoso as their first choice during the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Candidates who are willing to change to LAUTECH as first choice may also apply, subject to the stated admission conditions.

What Is the LAUTECH UTME Cut Off Mark?

UTME candidates must have scored at least 170 marks before they can be eligible for the screening exercise.

Some courses require a higher score and candidates are expected to check the approved departmental marks through the LAUTECH cut off marks page before applying.

What Are the General Requirements for LAUTECH Admission?

Candidates must upload their O'level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before 2 August 2026.

Applicants must also be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026, as this age condition will be part of the admission eligibility check.

What O'level Requirements Must UTME Candidates Meet?

UTME candidates must have at least five credit passes in relevant O'level subjects.

The results must be from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB and the required credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings.

What O'level Rule Applies to Medicine, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science?

Applicants for Medicine, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science must have five relevant credit passes at one sitting only.

This requirement is specific to those courses, so affected candidates should check their results carefully before submitting the online form.

What Are the Direct Entry Requirements?

Direct Entry candidates must hold one of the stated qualifications and must also have five credit passes in relevant O'level subjects.

Accepted qualifications are:

  • University Degree with at least Second Class Lower
  • National Diploma with Upper Credit
  • RNS
  • NCE with at least Merit
  • HND with Lower Credit
  • JUPEB

Direct Entry candidates must also have obtained a Direct Entry form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

How Will Candidates Apply for LAUTECH Post UTME?

Candidates are to complete the application online through the university admission portal.

The application process is as follows:

  1. Visit the LAUTECH undergraduate admission portal
  2. Pay a non-refundable registration fee of N2,000.00 and a portal access fee of N5,000.00 with an Inter Switch-enabled debit card
  3. Complete the online application form carefully
  4. Upload a clear digital passport photograph with white background, in JPEG format and not more than 20KB
  5. Submit the completed application form after checking all entries

Candidates are expected to review available programmes, O'level requirements and UTME subject combinations on JAMB CAPS and the LAUTECH portal before applying.

Can Candidates Awaiting Results Apply?

Candidates awaiting WAEC, NECO or NABTEB results may apply.

Such candidates must upload their results to JAMB CAPS by 26 June 2026, as stated for awaiting-results applicants.

How Will LAUTECH Admission Be Decided?

LAUTECH admission will be based on 80% UTME score and 20% O'level grades.

Candidates should also note that any admission approved on JAMB CAPS and not accepted within 4 weeks of uploading will be forfeited or withdrawn.

What Can Lead to Disqualification?

Any inconsistency in names, state of origin or age on the submitted documents may lead to disqualification.

When Will Direct Entry Interviews Hold?

The oral and written interviews for Direct Entry candidates will be conducted on a date to be announced later.

The venue will be The Hall, located on the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Campus, Ogbomoso.

Failure to appear for the interview will lead to automatic forfeiture of the admission.

2. Agricultural Economics

In each case, candidates must meet the SSCE requirements. Students can transfer into wither 200 or 300 level courses in the department provided they have the relevant qualifications. OND UPPER CREDIT OR HND holder with at Lower credit in Architectural or Architectural Technology may be considered for admission into the 200 Level. 2. 9. Biochemistry

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' Level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • Direct Entry: Candidate must possess A' level passes in Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics. They should, however process the minimum SSCE/NECO entry requirements.

10. Building

12. Chemical Engineering

  • Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission into 200 Level through Direct Entry must also meet the WASSCE/SSCE minimum entry requirements above and, in addition, possess one of the following: • A' Level Certificates such as JUPEB or IJMB with passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects. • National Diploma (ND) or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit from an accredited institution. • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a minimum of Upper Credit in Home Economics or related disciplines. • Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant disciplines with at least Lower Credit may also be admitted into 200 Level, subject to Faculty approval. NCE with Credit Passes in Information Science or Computer Science with a combination of Mathematics, Physics, Economics or any related course. 2. ND with Upper Credit and HND with Lower Credit in Information Science, Computer Science, Cyber Security or any related disciplines are eligible to admission into 200 Level.

20. Earth Science

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Technical Drawing or Geography.
  • UTME Subjects: English Language and any three (3) of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Geography
  • Cut-Off Mark: 200
  • Direct Entry: A' Level GCE and ND Upper Credit in Geology in Recognized Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology may be considered into 200 Level.

21. Economics

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at Credit level in GCE, SSCE, NECO or their equivalent to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects in either Sciences, Social Sciences (Government, Economics, Geography, Commerce, Business Method, Accounting, Marketing and Civil Education)
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any Social Sciences Subject
  • Cut-Off Mark: 180
  • Direct Entry: I. In addition to O' Level requirements stipulated above, applicant for direct entry mode should possess at least two A' Level papers in relevant subjects. II. Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in relevant discipline with at least Upper Credit Grade in addition to the five credit passes as stated above. Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant discipline with at least Upper Credit Grade in addition to five credit passes as stated above.

22. Electronic and Electrical Engineering

  • O'Level Subjects: The minimum entry requirements for admission are Ordinary Level GCE/SSCE/NECO/ NABTEB Credit level passes in five (5) subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other science subjects. The five credits requirements are in NOT more than two sittings. Candidates applying to LAUTECH, EEE are expected to sit for the respective JAMB Examinations and attain the prescribed minimum cut-off marks. This is a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities. However, the University sometimes require a candidate to undertake and fulfill the demands of a screening exercise prior to admission into the University

  • Direct Entry: In addition to the requirements specified above in (a), candidates seeking admission to 200 level must possess i. HND or OND at Upper Credit Level or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related discipline from recognized institutions or ii. Holders of two GCE 'A' levels in Mathematics and Physics. iii.   • O'Level Subjects: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three (3) Arts subjects (CRK/IRK, History, Government, Fine Arts, Music, French and Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa).
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Literature in English and any other two arts subjects (CRK/IRK, History, Government, Fine Arts, Music, French and Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa)

  • Direct Entry: Direct Entry students must possess acceptable IJMB and JUPEB (A/L), NCE and diplomas in relevant courses from institutions recognised by the Senate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. They must also have graduated with the grades acceptable by LAUTECH for DE admission for diploma, JUPEB and NCE, respectively, in addition to five credit level passes in the SSCE/NECO/GCE, NABTEB or equivalent examinations in relevant subjects including English-Language and Literature-in-English.

24. Estate Management

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' Level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects one of which must be a subject selected from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Technical Drawing and Fine Arts.

26. Fisheries and Aquaculture

  • Direct Entry: (i) Candidates who possess good grades in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science at Advanced level and who satisfy minimum ordinary level requirements as stated ab for 100 levels (UTME must possess credit level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Sciences in Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO) and NABTEB or their equivalent) will be admitted into the program at the 200 level. (ii) Candidates with OND passed at a minimum of Upper Credit level and NCE passed at Credit level (in relevant disciplines) may be considered for DE admission into the program at the 200 level subject to possession of minimum ordinary level requirements as stated above for the 100 level. (iii) Candidates with the HND passed at a minimum of Lower Credit level in Agriculture may be considered for direct entry admission into the program at the 200 level subject to possession of minimum ordinary level requirements as stated above for the 100 level.

29. Forest Resources Management

  • Direct Entry: i. Candidates who possess good grades in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science at the Advanced level and who satisfy minimum ordinary level requirements as stated above for 100 level will be admitted into the programme at the 200 level. ii. Candidates with OND passed at a minimum of Upper Credit level and NCE passed at Credit level (in relevant discipline) may be considered for direct entry admission into the programme at the 200 level requirements as stated above for the 100 level. iii. Candidates with the HND passed at a minimum of Lower Credit level in Agriculture may be considered for direct entry admission into the programme at the 200-level subject to the possession of minimum ordinary level requirements as stated above for the 100 level.

31. Hospitality and Tourism Management

  • UTME Subjects: English Language and any other subject three from Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics) or Social Science (Economics, Geography, Home Economics)

  • Direct Entry: Candidates with A' Level Certificate (JUPEB, IJMB), OND, NCE and HND in Tourism, Hospitality, Catering and any other relevant discipline from an approved institution with a minimum grade of not less than Upper Credit or its equivalent can be admitted through direct entry to 200 level while candidate with HND with grade not less than Lower Credit can be admitted equally to 300 level.

HND in relevant discipline with Lower Credit in Marketing are eligible to admission into 200 Level. 4. HND relevant discipline with Upper Credit in Marketing may be considered 300 Level.

36. Mass Communication

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' Level passes at Credit level in the WAEC/NECO/GCE, NABTEB or equivalent examinations in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and two other Arts Subjects (History, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa and Islamic/Christian Religion, Government, Fine Arts, Music and French) or Social Science subjects (Economics, Financial Accounting, Commerce, Geography and Marketing) in not more than two sittings. However Government or Civic Education may be accepted in lieu of Literature-in-English for commercial students.

  • Direct Entry: 1. First degree in any paramedical courses with at least lower credit 2. Basic Phyisic, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English

40. Nursing

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes of credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes at one sitting in the following subjects: • English Language • Mathematics • Physics • Chemistry • Biology The acceptable examination bodies include WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
  • Cut-Off Mark: 250
  • Direct Entry: In addition to the O'Level requirements, candidates must possess any of the following qualifications: • Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN); • A recognized first degree in Anatomy, Physiology or Biochemistry with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division may also be considered.

41. Nutrition and Dietetics

  • O'Level Subjects: The candidate must hold Credit passes at ordinary levels in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings.
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
  • Cut-Off Mark: 180
  • Direct Entry: "A" Level Subject The candidate must hold at least two GCE "A" level passes or equivalents in Chemistry, Physics, Biology JUPEP at acceptable grade level. The candidate must satisfy the "O" level admission criteria. OND/NCE Qualifications Holders of OND/NCE (Minimum of Upper Credit) in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science, Nursing, Health Science or any other related Science field may be considered for Direct Entry to 200 Level provided they have the UTME requirements.

Such candidate are also expected to minimum credit pass in the five O' level science subjects as required by the faculty and in consonance with the University.

47. Pure and Applied Chemistry

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Physics or Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Cut-Off Mark: 170
  • Direct Entry: Applicants must hold a National Diploma with Upper Credit or a Higher National Diploma from a recognized college or polytechnic and have at least five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. For admission into 200 Level The admission to 200 Level is based on Direct Entry mode. Direct Entry Candidates Candidates are required to have good passes at Advanced Level of GCE (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language or approved equivalent qualifications: such as OND UPPER Credit and JUPEB. Such candidates are also expected to have minimum of credit pass in the five O' level science subjects as required by the Faculty and in line with the University policy.

48. Pure and Applied Mathematics

  • Direct Entry: To be eligible for admission direct into 200 level, a candidate must; (a) Possess at least five credit passes in the WAEC/NECO/SSCE or the O/L GCE or any equivalent qualification. The credit passes must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. (b) NCE (Maths/Stats) with minimum grade of B; and (c) OND (Statistics) with a minimum of Upper Credit Pass.

49. Pure and Applied Physics

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at credit level to includes English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

  • Direct Entry: Direct entry requirement 1. First degree in any paramedical courses with at least lower credit 2. Basic Physic, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English The department admits candidates into 200 level via Direct Entry. Applicants must hold a National Diploma with Upper Credit or a Higher National Diploma in Science laboratory technology from a recognized college or polytechnic and have at least five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

51. Sociology

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects from the Arts Subjects (Government, Literature-In-English. History, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, CRS/IRS, Civil Education) or social sciences (Geography, Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting and Marketing). However, Civil Education may be accepted in lieu of Government.
  • UTME Subjects: English language and three (3) subjects from Arts or Social Sciences *Mathematics is accepted in lieu of one (1) of the other three (3) subjects (Government, Literature-In-English. History, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, CRS/IRS, Civil Education) or social sciences (Geography, Economics, Commerce, Financial Accounting and Marketing)

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' Level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Geography and any one other subject selected from Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Data Processing and Elementary Surveying.
  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) of Geography, Technical drawing, Fine Arts, Chemistry, Biology, Economics.

  • Direct Entry: Candidates should possess one of the following: 1. ND with Upper Credit and NCE Passed at Credit Level (in relevant disciplines) may be considered for 200 Level. 2. HND with Lower Credit in Surveying and Geoinformatics may be considered for 200 Level. 3. HND with Upper Credit in Surveying and Geoinformatics and have successfully completed NYSC may be considered for 300 Level.

54. Theatre Arts

  • O'Level Subjects: Five (5) O' level passes at Credit level in the SSCE/NECO/GCE, NABTEB or equivalent examinations in relevant subjects, including English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three from Fine Arts, History, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, Christian/Islamic Religion, Music, Government and Economics not more than two sittings.

  • UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics and any two (2) subject from Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Government or History and Economics.

  • Direct Entry: Candidates should possess one of the following: 1. ND (UPPER CREDIT) or HND (Lower Credit) in Urban and Regional Planning, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Estate management, Building, Statistics, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Information System and other relevant disciplines may be considered for 200 Level. 2. HND (Upper Credits) in Urban and Regional Planning or First degree (B Sc.) with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in Surveying and Geoinformatics, Estate Management, Building, Architecture, Statistics, Civil Engineering, Information Science, Geography and other relevant discipline may be considered for 300 Level.

57. Wildlife and Ecotourism Management

  • O'Level Subjects: (i) UTME CANDIDATES • The minimum requirements for admission to courses leading to B.Tech. Degree in the Department of Wildlife and Ecotourism Management are must have a minimum of credits in five (5) subjects at the SSCE/WASC or NECO level or GCE 'O' level or NABTEB including: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry and English Language. • Candidates are Expected to take the following subjects at the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination: English Language, Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science with minimum score of 170. • The Department has a carrying capacity of 250 students. (ii) PRE-DEGREE CANDIDATES The admission requirements are as specified for the UTME candidates above. Such candidates who have successfully gone through the University one-year Pre-degree program are also expected to meet the specified minimum cut-off mark in the UTME and PDS examinations before admission,
