Lagos State Is One Of The Best States In All Of Africa, Who Is The Architect? Tinubu – MKO Tibetan

According to a report by FeelrightNews TV, fiery preacher and social critic, Prophet MKO Tibetan, has hailed Lagos State as one of the most developed and efficiently governed regions in Africa, crediting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for laying the groundwork that transformed the state into a model of urban progress and economic stability.

Speaking during a wide-ranging interview, Prophet Tibetan praised Lagos’ evolution from a congested, poorly managed city in the 1990s to a thriving megacity known for its infrastructure, tax reforms, and revenue generation model. He attributed much of this transformation to Tinubu’s strategic leadership during his tenure as governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.

“Lagos State is one of the best states in all of Africa; who is the architect? Tinubu,” the prophet declared emphatically.

Prophet Tibetan noted that Tinubu’s long-term vision, political will, and ability to build institutions laid the foundation for Lagos’ continued success under successive administrations.

He argued that Tinubu’s model of governance, particularly his focus on internally generated revenue (IGR) and infrastructural renewal, rescued the state from financial dependence on federal allocations.

“By the next year, the same developmental structure you see in Lagos will spread across Nigeria,” Tibetan predicted. “When you travel abroad to Canada or London you pay tolls to maintain the roads. Tinubu adopted that system and it worked. That is what keeps Lagos moving forward.”

He explained that while other states struggled with mismanagement and poor fiscal discipline, Lagos sustained growth through deliberate planning and consistent tax reforms. According to the cleric, Tinubu’s administration built the institutional framework that made Lagos one of the few states capable of funding major infrastructure without relying heavily on federal handouts.

Highlighting the significance of Tinubu’s tax revolution, Prophet Tibetan emphasized that the reform was crucial to the success story of Lagos. “Tax reform is massive,” he said. “It was not easy at first, but people later understood that the government needed revenue to function. Everyone will be happy when the full benefits reflect across the country.”

He further noted that Tinubu’s government laid the foundation for projects like the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, modern road networks, and the Lekki-Epe Expressway. These initiatives, he said, not only decongested the city but also boosted economic activities and positioned Lagos as a global hub.

“Tinubu started something many didn’t understand back then modernizing Lagos and making it self-sustaining. Today, people see the results,” he said.

Prophet Tibetan urged other Nigerian governors to emulate the Lagos model by prioritizing infrastructure, accountability, and fiscal independence.

He said Tinubu’s approach to governance demonstrated that visionary leadership, rather than excessive reliance on federal revenue, could transform even the most challenging urban environments.

“Many states in Nigeria are rich in resources but poor in planning,” he observed. “If they adopt the Lagos strategy build institutions, generate revenue locally, and reinvest it in their people Nigeria will experience a new era of prosperity.”

The preacher also linked Tinubu’s leadership style to his current efforts as President of Nigeria, asserting that the same principles that worked in Lagos could be replicated nationwide if properly implemented.

“People are quick to criticize, but if you look closely, Tinubu’s governance is about structure, discipline, and sustainability,” Tibetan said. “He believes in long-term development, not short-term populism.”

While commending Tinubu’s vision, Prophet Tibetan also called on Nigerians to play their part by paying taxes and holding leaders accountable. He stressed that development cannot thrive in a society where citizens evade civic duties or expect government to perform miracles without revenue.

“For a country to grow, everyone must contribute,” he stated. “Tinubu showed that when people trust the system and the government delivers, progress becomes visible. Lagos is a living testimony.”

In his concluding remarks, Prophet Tibetan described Lagos as “a beacon of hope” and a “testimony of what good governance can achieve when leaders think beyond politics.” He expressed optimism that under President Tinubu’s leadership, the same spirit of innovation and transformation that redefined Lagos would soon be extended across the nation.
