Seun, the youngest son of the iconic Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti has weighed in on the ongoing debate of who owns Lagos ahead of the governorship poll on Saturday. He argued that Lagos is neither for Yorubas nor a no man’s land but a European satellite slave port.

Seun, the youngest son of the iconic Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti has weighed in on the ongoing debate of who owns Lagos ahead of the governorship poll on Saturday. He argued that Lagos is neither for Yorubas nor a no man’s land but a European satellite slave port.

While actor Yul Edochie said the metropolitan city indeed belongs to the Yorubas, Seun advised people to familiarise themselves with history, insisting many know nothing about Lagos.

Seun wrote: “Lagos is no man’s land – WRONG. Lagos is Yoruba land – WRONG AGAIN. Lagos is a European satellite slave port – CORRECT!!
