Kwara sports commission dissolves associations

The Kwara State Sports Commission has announced disssolved all sports associations in the state, according to a statement on Thursday in Ilorin by its Press Secretary, Saheed Abdullahi.

While the Commission did not specify the reasons behind the move, it is widely believed to be part of ongoing reforms to restructure and strengthen sports administration across Kwara State.

The statement further noted that fresh modalities for the reconstitution of the associations would be unveiled in due course

The Commission, which oversees and regulates sporting activities in the state, said the dissolution is expected to pave the way for new leadership and strategies aimed at boosting grassroots sports development and enhancing Kwara’s representation at regional and national competitions.
