Kenyan Woman Arrested for P@is@ning Her Three Children Over Husband cheating

A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Mlolongo, Machakos County, where police have arrested a woman named Linet Munala for the suspected murder of her three young children.

The bodies of the children—two twins and their older brother—were discovered on January 26, 2026, inside a single room at Neema Plaza in Mlolongo Phase III. According to reports, the twins were found lying together on one bed, while their brother was on another bed. Foam was coming from their mouths, a sign that strongly pointed to p*isoning.

Investigators believe the children were given porridge laced with a p*isonous substance, suspected to be a mixture that included Vim detergent. Some of the suspected p*ison was reportedly still visible on the table in the room.

Neighbors say the horror likely stemmed from a heated argument between Linet and her husband over the weekend. The couple had been fighting about his alleged infidelity, which reportedly escalated dramatically.

The incident is believed to have happened during the night of January 25 or in the early hours of January 26. Later that Monday afternoon, around 1 p.m., the caretaker of the building received a disturbing text message from Linet after she had left the house. The message urged the caretaker to check on the home.

The caretaker, Rose Anai, told The Standard: “She wrote a message to her neighbour directing that we go and see what had happened in her house.”

Alarmed, Rose gathered other tenants and went straight to the apartment. “When we arrived, the door was wide open. I entered first and checked on one child. I immediately realised the child had passed on. That is when I called the police,” she said.

The police report stated: “The suspect’s three children were found lying dead inside the house with foam emanating from their mouths.”

Linet was quickly traced and arrested while attempting to flee. She is currently being held at Mlolongo Police Station as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) continue their probe. The scene has been documented, samples collected for analysis, and the children’s bodies moved to the City Mortuary for post-mortem examinations to confirm the exact cause of death.

One neighbor who received Linet’s message recalled: “When I went to the house, she told me that her husband’s friend called and told her that he was running late in Nairobi, and she started saying that her husband was cheating on her.”

Another neighbor suggested the tragedy might have been fueled by built-up pain that Linet never shared openly: “…the woman not sharing what was happening in her marriage with other people and a lot of misunderstandings.”
