Kaduna has played host to a crucial training session for the 32 teams preparing to compete in the inaugural National Futsal Super League. The one-day event, held at a prominent hotel in the city, saw representatives from all participating clubs attend.

The training was overseen by Mr. Musa Dung Davou, a highly respected CAF and FIFA-accredited Futsal referee. Galaxy 5s Global Sports, the league organisers led by CEO Shamsudeen Tijanni Yusuf, ensured that coaches, players, and referees were brought up to date with the latest rules, laws, and organisational aspects of the game.

Mr. Yusuf emphasised the importance of the session, stating, “Knowledge is key and paramount for our coaches to keep pace with the modern game of Futsal, which is constantly evolving. We aim to organise a top-notch league, free from disputes, which is why we invited Mr. Musa Davou to impart his expertise and update participants on the laws of the game.”

One participant expressed their appreciation, remarking, “I’m highly impressed with the lectures, highlights, and the latest laws governing Futsal. This will undoubtedly benefit my team once the league commences.”

Mr. Davou’s credentials include officiating at the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in 2024.

The National Futsal Super League is scheduled to kick off in Kaduna from January 26th to February 1st.
