New reports have revealed that Jeffrey Epstein hid hard drives, photographs, and other sensitive materials in multiple storage lockers, keeping them concealed from authorities.

The latest investigation indicates that the late pedophile rented at least six storage units, mostly in Florida, paying thousands of dollars from 2003 to 2019. These units remained undiscovered by U.S. officials, raising the possibility that they contained previously unseen evidence related to Epstein’s long history of criminal activity.

According to the reports, Epstein’s files, credit card records, and statements obtained by investigators detailed secret locations for storing computers, CDs, photographs, and documents. These lockers may provide insight into long-standing suspicions that Epstein received advance warnings of raids on his properties.

Former Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter told NBC that during a 2005 search, “the pedophile place had been cleaned up.” Evidence also suggests that Epstein recruited detectives to move documents, photographs, and computers to his various storage units. Credit card statements indicate he paid the private detective agency Riley Kiraly $38,500 from January to May 2010 alone.

Some of the storage items included computers from Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little Saint James. Staff reportedly discussed taking computers and CDs from the island to secret vaults. Newly released emails from the Department of Justice reference storage unit transfers between Epstein and his associates.

In August 2009, a representative from Riley Kiraly wrote to Epstein: “Over the weekend I learned that plaintiff’s counsel are looking to get from me the computers and paperwork I took from Jeff’s house prior to the Search Warrant. I have them locked in storage and would like to know what to do with them. They are no longer needed in the criminal case, I assume. Is it possible to give you these items for your review and safekeeping or give it to Darren Indyke [Epstein’s lawyer] or back to Jeff, etc.?”

In another exchange, Epstein emailed Bill Riley of Riley Kiraly regarding a photograph: “You were going to send me a copy of redacted’s picture,” Epstein wrote. “I thought I had a copy of it on my computer but it is in storage with everything else.” Riley replied, “I will get it out next time I go to the storage unit.”

Several of Epstein’s Florida units were located just miles from his Palm Beach and Delray Beach homes. He began leasing one locker at Uncle Bob’s in Florida in 2003, paying $374.13 per month until March 2015, with smaller payments continuing until 2016. Other units, including one accessible 24 hours a day capable of storing vehicles, were leased between 2009 and 2011. Records also show a Royal Palm Beach unit rented until 2019 for $140 per month.

Epstein also asked Riley Kiraly investigators to rent a New York storage unit on his behalf in 2010 for around $500 per month. Located just five minutes from his Manhattan mansion, the unit reportedly contained furniture, equipment, and computers. Photographs taken by staff in 2012 showed cluttered units filled with cardboard boxes and furniture.

Documents further suggest Epstein was interested in a “secret storage unit” near his New Mexico ranch. Overall, he owned five properties in the United States and France. Police photographs from 2019 raids showed many of these properties included extensive storage areas, raising questions about why Epstein needed additional secret units.

The fate of the contents of each storage unit following Epstein’s death by suicide in 2019 remains unclear. In Florida, storage facility owners may auction off abandoned items after 90 days of nonpayment.
