Is This White Cybertruck Better Or Worse?

One owner took their own modifications seriously and while we're not sure if they're hot or not, we like the effort

  • DIY build features sharp angles, matte white paint, and blacked-out windows.
  • Its styling channels unique performance vibes with low-budget execution.
  • Odd design choices include an underbite bumper and exaggerated side skirts.

If there’s a vehicle capable of splitting opinions faster than a group chat argument, it’s the Tesla Cybertruck. Somehow, someway, someone has taken it a step further.

So far, even Elon himself might walk by and say something like “That’s not my polygon.” He might not be the very best judge in the matter, though, so we’re asking you: is it better or worse?

At first glance, for sure it’s a novelty. The sharp angles are something we see regularly now, but the matte white paint with the blacked-out windows are new.

The underbite bumper is an odd choice, but sort of matches the new side skirts. Overall, this looks kinda like a cross between an early PlayStation 1 rendering and an IKEA flat-pack pickup.

Ultimately, it’s hard not to at least appreciate the effort here. Whomever built this clearly committed to the bit. If the Cybertruck was too much of a conversation starter before, this seems bold enough to keep people away.

On top of that, it does seem to lean into the performance aspects of the pickup. This is, after all, a Cyberbeast, the ultimate tri-motor monster that can put several supercars to shame on a drag strip. That said, the ducktail spoiler is almost appropriate.

In fact, this entire situation might be in and of itself a tiny protest against the average Tesla truck. It’s intentionally non-conformist. It’s bold, but could be even louder.

No doubt, we’ve seen builds of exactly that nature, and they’re unquestionably distasteful. This might just be finding a great balance between the two.

So what do you think? Is this Tesla better than stock or worse, and why?

As someone who doesn’t personally hate or love the Cybertruck, I respect the build in this case. It’s got big “built in the garage after three Monster energy drinks and a dare” energy. I’d rather have this than an unmodified version.
