The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has announced a new timetable for its leadership elections in Anambra, Imo, and Kebbi States.

The decision, aimed at streamlining the electoral process within the council, was communicated in an official notice released from the national headquarters. In a statement signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Chinyere O. Kalu, the council revealed that the elections originally slated for February and early March have been moved to mid-April 2025.

New Election Schedule According to the revised calendar, the polls will now take place as follows:

1. Kebbi State: April 6, 2025 (formerly February 7)

2. Imo State: April 10, 2025 (formerly March 5)

3. Anambra State: April 15, 2025 (formerly February 28).

While the council did not cite specific reasons for the postponement, the move is seen as part of IPAC’s broader commitment to “Deepening Democracy in Nigeria.”

By ensuring all logistical and administrative hurdles are cleared, the council aims to conduct transparent and credible elections to usher in new executive members for these key states.

IPAC expressed its regret for any inconvenience caused to stakeholders and political party leaders by the sudden shift in dates, urging for continued cooperation to ensure a peaceful transition of leadership at the state levels.
