Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has revealed he is open to playing anywhere following his departure from South African side Chippa United.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, including Kaizer Chiefs, Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, a possible move to the Rwandan league, and English Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.

Now a free agent, the 29-year-old saw his profile rise significantly after his impressive performances at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he established himself as Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Speaking on Sports Nights Amplified with Andile Ncube, Nwabali made it clear that he is not limiting his options and is focused primarily on finding the right environment.

“I can play anywhere I want to play; there is no restriction,” Nwabali said.

“I am open to any club, local or international. Football is about happiness, and my happiness comes first.”

The goalkeeper also dismissed suggestions that a transfer is imminent, revealing that he has yet to receive concrete offers.

“There are no calls yet. The only calls are from my family, friends, and people who are shocked at the news,” he added.

“Nothing has changed. In football, you wait for the right moment. You really need to enjoy where you are.”
