An ex-Muslim lady has sparked discussion online after sharing her reflections on how Jesus is described in the Quran, contrasting these descriptions with the Bible.

The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by AsakyGRN, has drawn attention for its personal perspective and theological observations.

Jesus in the Quran

The lady, who reportedly was a Muslim for 26 years, highlighted that the Quran refers to Jesus as the “Word of God,” the “Spirit of God,” and the “Messiah,” while no similar titles are attributed to Prophet Muhammad or other figures.

She pointed out verses from Suratul Iman (verse 45) and Suratul Nisa (verse 171) as examples, noting that “only Jesus gets this description in the whole Quran.”

She also noted that Jesus is referred to as al-Masih, the Messiah, 11 times, a title not given to any other prophet.

Regarding his birth, she emphasized that the Quran describes Jesus as a “pure child,” signifying his sinless nature.

Personal Reflections

The young lady explained that her perspective comes from personal exploration and study.

“I want you to ask the same question that I asked. Ask those questions. That’s all. Ask those questions,” she said.

She emphasized that her intention is not to attack Islam but to share what she discovered when reading with an open heart.

Comparing with the Bible

Turning to the Bible, she explained that Jesus’ self-identification as “I am the way, the truth, and the life” sets him apart from other prophets, who primarily called people to follow God’s law or teachings.

She said this distinction encouraged her to explore Jesus further.

Call to Reflection

The ex-Muslim lady encouraged viewers to examine both scriptures honestly.

“You don’t need a special prayer or church or ceremony. Just be honest with God the way I was. See, honesty really matters. Just say, ‘Lord, I want to know you. Show me who Jesus really is.

“I took my chances with Jesus and I have never been the same. Ever.”
