"I met my husband in 2011 when I was still in secondary school, SS 2. He was a part-time teacher in my school."

At first, I had no intention of being his girlfriend or dating him. He was just a random teacher in my school, but there was something different about him— he was kind, compassionate, and loving. He enjoyed taking care of the students that came around him. Oftentimes, he'd buy clothes and books for those who didn't have.

He encouraged students and he was the students' best teacher and friend. I wasn't the gum body type, so I didn't move that close to him when all the students were flocking around him.

I told my then classmates that whoever would get married to him would surely enjoy it because he's such a caring person.

After some time, I started talking to him and we started getting closer in SS3. Later, we started dating in that SS3.

Then he resigned from my school because he wanted to avoid a situation whereby it'd look like he's dating his student.

He started teaching in another school, but we continued dating. He took care of everything that concerned me; clothes, hair, and schooling without asking for anything in return —without bothering me. He encouraged me in my studies.

After I graduated from secondary school, we continued dating. Five years into the relationship, he met my parents and we did introduction. Afterwards, we started planning for our wedding.

Along the line, he lost his mum. Burial ceremonies are always expensive, especially for a first born. He's the first son and almost all expenses then were on him.

So, our wedding was postponed. He used most of the money he had to finance the burial. We kept going. He was such a nice person.

I gained admission into the university. He practically took care of paying for my schooling and everything. In 2019, we did our traditional wedding and also our white wedding.

During the five years of the relationship, the only quarrel we had was when I saw a text message from a lady on his phone. They were chatting. I asked him who she was. He kept saying they were just friends, that she was like his sister. I asked why the person was calling him "baby, honey" if she was like a sister to him.

I reported him to his sisters. They cautioned him, called him to order, and he stopped. That was the only quarrel we ever had since the five years of the relationship after the introduction.

In 2020, I had my first baby. It was 4 months after the wedding. A month ago, I had my second baby. Since then, this marriage has been blissful and peaceful. He does not trouble me . He is the best man ever."
