I didn’t suspect anything until he started coming home late. He always gave the excuse that there was so much work to do at the office. I wanted to believe him but something seemed off. Out of curiosity, I went through his phone and discovered their chat. I saw the girl’s name, searched for her on TikTok, and realised he has been commenting on almost all her videos.

When I confronted him, all he did was shrug nonchalantly and say, “You are the one hurting yourself if you insist on going through my phone. Did I tell you that I don’t love you?”

From all indications, he is not ready to end his relationship with this lady. So I decided to know as much as possible about her.

I once met her in town with a mutual friend of mine. I ignored her, but from her behaviour, it seemed she already knew I am her boyfriend’s wife.

Anyway, this is what I also know about her from my digging. She has a boyfriend she’s been dating for three years. The guy is still in the picture, as well as my husband. I told my husband what I found.

“Tell her to choose between the two of you so she doesn’t contract any disease from that boyfriend for you to pass it on to me,” I demanded.

He listened to everything I had to say from my investigation but he didn’t seem moved. It’s as though nothing I say or do will make him leave her.

The truth is: I don’t want to leave my marriage. Rather, I am looking for a way to stop loving him so that my heart can finally be at peace. Or if there is something I can do to make him stop dating this side chick, I will gladly do it.
