Hyundai Gives Its Smallest N Line SUV Sharper Looks, Modern Tech

Hyundai is capitalizing on its performance brand by offering N Line versions of almost its entire product catalogue. The latest to join the pack is the new generation of the Venue that was recently unveiled with a fresh exterior and an overhauled interior.

The first time Hyundai offered a Venue N Line was in 2022, based on the Indian-spec facelifted version of the previous generation. Since the tiny Inster has yet to receive a similar treatment, the Venue remains the second-smallest N Line offering after the i10 hatchback.

Pumping Up Looks And Equipment

The new Venue N Line looks larger and more aggressive compared to its predecessor, adopting a boxier styling language. The sportier face has intakes next to the “Twin Horn” DRLs, a dark-finished grille, and wings flanking the skid plate similar to the larger Creta N Line.

The 17-inch alloy wheels with the diamond cut finish hide red brake calipers, matching the red accents on the bumpers and side skirts. The SUV also features body-colored fenders, a more prominent rear spoiler, and dual tailpipes sticking out of the rear skid plate that doubles as a diffuser. Finally, the N Line emblem can be found on the grille, fenders, center caps, and tailgate.

The interior adopts a black theme with red stitching. The steering wheel closely mirrors the one on the fully electric Ioniq 5 N, with paddle shifters and dedicated dials for the drive mode and traction selectors. N badges can also be found on the gear knob and the black leather seats. Hyundai has also added metal pedals and Sunrise Red ambient lighting.

Equipment is quite generous, as the N Line sits at the top of the Venue lineup. The standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is combined with a 12.3-inch infotainment display featuring navigation and NVIDIA graphics, and eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, a smart aroma diffuser, and Level 2 ADAS.

Carry-Over Turbo Engine

Despite the notable exterior and interior upgrades, the Venue N Line is pretty much the same under the skin. The carry-over turbocharged 1.0-liter engine produces 118 hp (88 kW / 120 PS) and 172 Nm (lb-ft) of torque, sending power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT automatic.

The company didn’t mention anything about the chassis tuning, so we assume that the new model retains the N Line-specific suspension and steering setup just like its predecessor.

The Hyundai Venue N Line will go on sale in India starting next week. At the moment it is not clear if it will make it to other markets.
