Hyundai Exter Facelift Launched at Rs 5.80 Lakh

Hyundai Exter facelift launched with a refreshed design, new features, and unchanged powertrains.

Hyundai India has officially rolled out the facelifted Exter in India, with prices starting at ₹5.80 lakh and going up to ₹9.42 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the competitive sub-compact SUV segment, the Hyundai Exter Facelift now sports sharper styling, a more premium cabin, and added convenience features, while retaining its tried-and-tested mechanicals.

Exterior Updates

The facelift brings a bolder front fascia with a redesigned bumper finished in black, a new grille, and silver accents. The ‘Exter’ branding now sits between the LED DRLs, giving the SUV a more distinctive identity. Chunkier wheel arch cladding, fresh 15-inch alloy designs, and a new C-pillar garnish enhance its side profile. At the rear, a split spoiler, revised bumper, and updated tail-lamp trim add to its sporty appeal. Hyundai has also introduced two new shades – Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte – to broaden personalization options.

Interior Enhancements

Inside, the Exter facelift adopts a dual-tone navy blue and grey theme, replacing the earlier all-black cabin. Semi-fabric beige upholstery, faux carbon-fiber dashboard trim, and a flat-bottom steering wheel elevate the premium feel. Practical upgrades include a driver’s armrest, rear Type-C USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto via a portable adapter. Adjustable rear headrests and driver seat height adjustment are now standard across variants.

Features & Safety

The Exter continues to offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, cruise control, auto AC, wireless charging, and a sunroof. Safety remains a strong suit with six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, and central locking standard. Higher trims add a dashcam, rear parking camera, automatic headlamps, and more.

Powertrain Options

Mechanically unchanged, the Exter retains its 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 83hp and 114Nm, paired with 5-speed MT or AMT. A factory-fitted CNG variant delivers 69hp and 95Nm, available only with a manual gearbox. Boot space stands at 391 litres for petrol and 225 litres for CNG models.
