HOW TO USE “NEGOTIATION” TO MAKE YOURSELF WEALTHY?

Wealth isn’t just about making money— it’s about knowing what to do with it once you have it. The biggest financial wins happen when you position yourself early, build the right relationships, and understand how to scale your investments. The question isn’t just how to make more money, but how to maximize and protect it when the big opportunity comes.

What is the popular term for negotiate and negotiation?

Is simply about a discussion that settled on an agreement with good payment that suit both parties.

Here I am talking about money. Most people only talks about negotiation based on money, when you hear “you don't know how to priced or negotiate” — it's all about money.

Money does not exist, it is an idea. Money is an idea; because money is anything that can be use for exchange to get something needed, and be on the terms of a transaction or agreement.

The paper money is a legal tender because it is backed by The Act of Parliament; anything accepted in a society as a payment for goods and services is called money — I believe we all learnt this in our JSS 1, under the subject called Business Studies — I thank Adonay, I still have this knowledge.

Think and Grow Rich! Money does not exist, it is an idea. 

Paper money can not be rejected because it is backed by The Act of Parliament. Naira used in Nigeria to do trading, buying and selling — can not be use in another country — you have to convert the Naira to their legal currency, so you can buy and sell there.

So is this not enough reason to know that money does not exist, because you don't study the origin of what you are using — you just jump and start using it. I don't do my life that's way, I know the origin of everything I used, even to my phone's manufacturer. 

Most people used YouTube but don't know the origin. If I ask you now, you will say Google owns it, but Google never develop YouTube — they bought it. So before jumping into money making, know what is money and its origin.

Back to the negotiation: my parents always taught us pricing and negotiation — everything goes to bargaining. 

To bargain, is to negotiate the terms of an exchange — which I will say, come to terms; to arrive at an agreement.

Learn this, any word that end with “ING” means “PROCESS”, this is the simple meaning. I learnt this knowledge from Sir Andy, my Marketing Teacher in SS 2, during my secondary education.

Bargaining is the process of having a discussion with intention to come on the terms of a transaction or agreement. 

Not to say this, but I will, if you want to be wealthy — learn and have knowledge on sales, marketing, negotiation, and leadership — these are the skills you 'must' not 'can' or 'may' — you must have to be wealthy in our society.

How to sell, how to market, how to negotiate, how to lead people — these skills are the skills, King Solomon acquired from the wisdom and knowledge of God, that is why wealth followed him till death.

If you think negotiation is only about money, you will be poor — or be in middle class of the society like my great parents. For you to be wealthy, I don't mean rich, I am talking about super rich — as in wealthy.

Take negotiation to everything, not only money. This is what I mean?

I remembered in year 2022, when I have planned out my business next move — because the tag for that year was BIG BREAKS 2022 — that was my yearly tag for 2022.

I want to achieve big break above blogging. I contacted Mr. Seun of 2Star Technology, the CEO — on a contract deal to work with my then blogging company, known as Doactalk — which is now the doacWeb (https://doacweb.com), the world and you have today and forever.

We negotiated on a transaction, free advertising for his business plus ₦60,000 — the agreement — that was then. Initially that project cost up to ₦300,000, as a fast growing blogging firm, we don't have that amount to spend — mark my words — we don't have that amount to spend, does not mean we don't have the money.

Today, you see doacWeb — there are many contractors we have worked with, all should cost millions of naira; but with good negotiations, we land in spending not up to ₦400,000 in total.

Talking from 2020 to 2025. 

Most of our negotiations, no money is given — we exchanged our service or knowledge, for what we want and we get them. Think and Grow Rich!

Until you start to negotiate on things or deals possible — on a good payment, you come to a terms of a transaction or agreement — then you will buy anything within your reach.

Be wise to ask for help. Example is the Crypto currency, that people and few businesses are now using it for exchange, based on their terms of transaction or agreement.

So money is anything, it can be knowledge, it can be service, it can help, it can be kindness, it can be faithful, it can be honesty, it can be trust, it can be anything — name it. As long as it is an agreed terms and accepted for exchange between two different parties to get something, then it is money.

You should know about bartering; bartering was done in order to ensure that people got what they did not have or produce — we know the process, talking on trade by barter.

Remember the days of cowries, so is today we have paper money.
