HOW TO PREPARE FISH ROLL
Requirements:
✍️ 5 cups of plain flour
✍️ 5 table spoons of butter
✍️ 1/2 teaspoon of salt
✍️ 1 teaspoon of baking powder

To Prepare:
1. Add water cautiously, using only enough to make the mixture bind without becoming sticky. (Stick dough leads to hand pastry).
2. Use the barest minimum of flour on the rolling and working surface, or you will after the proportions giving you a dry pastry (always roll pastry lightly and as little as possible).
3. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl and rub in the fat until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs.
4. Add the water to bind the mixture and knead very lightly to give a firm, smooth texture. Roll out and fill with the filling.
5. Fold it over so the 'seam' is underneath.
6. Shape the two ends with a sharp knife to show the filling brush with egg (if available), bake in hot oven.
