How to Block Spam Calls and Texts on Your Phone

Getting constant calls from unknown numbers or spam texts offering fake loans and prizes? You’re not alone. Fortunately, there are easy ways to block spam calls and texts on both Android and iPhone.

1. Use Your Phone’s Built-in Blocking Feature

Most phones come with a built-in feature to block numbers.

• On Android: Open your call log, tap the number, and select “Block/report spam.”
• On iPhone: Open the Phone app, tap the “i” icon next to the number, and select “Block this Caller.”

Once blocked, those numbers won’t reach you again through calls or SMS.

2. Enable Spam Protection

Android users can turn on spam protection from Google:
