MEAT PIE BAKING
Ingredients
✍️ 250g short crust pastry (see how to make crust pastry).
✍️ 500g minced meat.
✍️ 2 table spoon cooking oil.
✍️ 1 onion.
✍️ 1 table spoon tomato paste.
✍️ Salt & Seasons.
To Prepare:
1. Slice onion, fry in hot oil. Add minced meat and cooking cubes, add tomato paste and season to taste. And cook for 5 minutes.
2. Roll out pastry (when prepared) 1/2 cm thick, use an 8cm biscuit cutter, cut out 16 rounds, put 8 in a greased pie tie (reserve the best 8 for cover).
3. Put about 2 teaspoons of seasoned meat in centre of each pastry rounds, Damp round the edge and put one cover on each time.
4. Press edges together and trim with sharp knife, make small hole in the centre to let out steam and Bake in hot oven for 20-30 minutes. Brush with egg (if you wish).
5. Then your meat pie is Served!
