The NAF, in a post via its official X handle on Tuesday, said the 2025 recruitment drive reflects the Air Force’s commitment to bolstering its capabilities in modern warfare, with a focus on specialties such as engineering, medical services, and cybersecurity.

Application Window and Process

The application period runs from August 27 to October 7, 2025, and is entirely free of charge. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the official NAF recruitment portal: nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

The user-friendly platform ensures a seamless application process, allowing candidates to upload necessary documents and complete the required forms within the stipulated timeframe.

Eligibility Criteria

The NAF has outlined strict eligibility requirements to ensure that only qualified candidates are considered for the DSSC 34/2025.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship: Must be Nigerian citizen by birth.

Age: Candidates should be between 20 and 32 years old. However, medical doctors (consultants) may apply if they are between 25 and 40 years old at the time of application.

Height: Male applicants must be at least 1.66 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.63 meters tall.

Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Second Class Upper Division degree from a recognised institution is required, along with a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption.

Medical and Physical Fitness: Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting the Nigerian Air Force’s stringent medical and employment standards.

Criminal Record: Candidates must have no previous convictions by a court of law.

Serving Personnel: The exercise is not open to serving personnel seeking a Branch Commission unless they have served for at least 10 years, attained the rank of Corporal, and are recommended by their Commanding Officer or Commander. Personnel above 32 years of age are ineligible.

Recruitment Process

Following the application period, candidates will be required to participate in a Zonal General Aptitude Test, the date of which will be announced on the NAF recruitment portal.

Only those who pass this stage will be invited for a Selection Interview, where they will undergo further evaluation to determine their suitability for service in the Nigerian Air Force.

The NAF has emphasised that the recruitment process is transparent and merit-based, urging applicants to beware of fraudsters who may attempt to charge fees or offer shortcuts.

All official communications will be made through the NAF recruitment portal or verified channels, including the Air Force’s official X handle.

Aspiring candidates are advised to regularly check the NAF recruitment portal for updates on the aptitude test and other stages of the recruitment process.
