The shifts in the geopolitical landscape, combined with a general dissent towards EVs, have seen the EV landscape change dramatically. Honda is one such brand that has seemingly negotiated the pivot without significant drama, but it hasn't been immune to the effects of the change in EV climate. During a recent roundtable with American media at Honda's Tokyo HQ, CEO Toshihiro Mibe admitted Honda's EV plans in America had faced a significant setback, with the brand delaying its American EV strategy by as many as five years.
