IBADAN, OYO STATE — Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye, PhD, PDP Candidate for Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, hosted an appreciation get-together with party executives and stakeholders in Ibadan as part of consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The get-together brought together Ward Exco, Local Government Exco, and key state and national party officials to align on legislative priorities and grassroots mobilization across the constituency.

Those in attendance included National Exco Hon. Nurudeen Ibitoye, Mr. Adeniran Osuntoyinbo, Ibadan North-East LG Party Chairman; Mr. Olanrewaju Adekola, Ibadan South-East LG Party Chairman; Hon. Adekunle Olatinwo, State Financial Secretary; Hon. Kabir Ajibola Odeyemi, State Ex-Officio; and Hon. Adewusi Adegbola, State Vice Chairman, along with other stakeholders.

Presenting her legislative blueprint, Dr. Adekanmbi-Akinseye outlined nine priority areas that will guide her representation. She said her focus when elected will be people-first leadership that ensures open and accessible representation for all constituents. She pledged to advance education for all through increased funding for public schools, teacher training, and expanded access to student loans. She also committed to job creation for youth both locally and globally through partnerships with federal institutions and the private sector.

Dr. Adekanmbi-Akinseye further stated that her agenda will include empowerment programs for youth, women and men, entrepreneurship development to enable young people to start businesses and create jobs for others, and cultural regeneration through collaboration with investors and philanthropists in Nigeria and abroad to restore ancient sites in the constituency while preserving heritage. She also promised to prioritize quality healthcare with emphasis on maternal health services, welfare programs for widows and vulnerable adults through federal interventions and social support, and agricultural empowerment to provide opportunities and resources for retirees to engage in agribusiness.

“Representation must move beyond rhetoric,” she said. “It must be about crafting impactful laws, providing diligent oversight, and attracting development that improves everyday lives. Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency deserves its rightful place in the national conversation.”

The Constituency Chairman described the engagement as “leadership with foresight,” noting that the early consultations demonstrated a commitment to party unity and to understanding local realities.

Participants reviewed reports from their wards and reaffirmed commitment to party cohesion. The get-together concluded with prayers for unity and for electoral success in 2027, and with a resolution to intensify voter education and grassroots engagement.
