Known for her roles in numerous Kumawood films, Portia recently disclosed some of the hidden challenges and dynamics that is negativity affecting the industry.

In a candid interview with Ahodwo TV, the thespian pointed to internal disputes and spiritual interference as key factors contributing to the industry’s downturn. She elaborated that the absence of solidarity and the presence of hostility among peers have adversely impacted both the production processes and the overall quality of films produced in Kumawood.

“People are questioning the reasons behind Kumawood’s struggles. The answer lies in animosity! Some individuals resort to spiritual tactics to undermine their peers rather than offering support,” she remarked.

Portia also recounted her own experiences of being targeted by fellow actors and actresses who utilized spiritual means to obstruct her career advancement.

“Those I once trusted and shared meals with were among those who attempted to harm me through witchcraft. I was taken aback. If you seek to destroy me, you cannot replicate my contributions. Each individual’s work is distinct, so why resort to such actions?”she questioned.
