Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to step down from his role at the Etihad Stadium following Sunday’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

The development follows months of speculation surrounding the future of the 55-year-old Spaniard, despite Guardiola previously dismissing suggestions that the recent FA Cup final could be his last appearance at Wembley as City manager.

The report added that an official announcement is expected sometime on Sunday, potentially ahead of Monday’s planned open-top bus parade celebrating Guardiola’s achievements at the club.
