The management of Gombe State College of Nursing Sciences, widely known as the College of Nursing and Midwifery, has announced the commencement of its Post UTME sales for the coming academic session. The form is for admission into the ND/HND Nursing programme, and interested applicants have a small window to act fast.

Programme and Requirements for ND/HND Nursing

The ND/HND Nursing programme runs for four years. Applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:

  • Age between 16 and 35 years at the time of admission.
  • Physically fit for study and practice.
  • A score of 160 and above in the 2025 UTME, with the College as first and preferred choice.
  • Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO, SAISSCE/NBAIS, or NABTEB in no more than two sittings.
  • NABTEB candidates must have all five required subjects in one sitting, as it cannot be combined with other results.

Applicants are reminded to upload their O’level results onto the JAMB CAPS portal at a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre, failure to do so may cost them the admission slot.

Application Process

Applications are strictly online through the official Gombe Nursing portal. The steps are straightforward:

  • Create an account using a valid email and phone number.
  • Select ND/HND Nursing.
  • Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦5,000 via the designated bank payment platform (excluding e-service charges).
  • Complete the online form and upload the required documents.
  • Print the application slip after registration and submit it with two recent passport photographs to the ICT Unit of the College.

Key Dates to Watch

  • Forms on sale: Monday, 15th September 2025
  • Forms close: Midnight, Thursday, 25th September 2025
  • Submission deadline: Friday, 26th September 2025
  • Physical screening and oral interview: Thursday 2nd to Friday 3rd October 2025

No extensions will be entertained. The clock runs out on the 25th of September, and after that, the window closes.

Screening and Advisory

During the interview, applicants must bring:

  • Original O’level print-outs from the official websites of WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or other listed exam bodies.
  • Original credentials.

The College has also warned applicants to be on alert. Messages or offers sent outside the official channel are to be disregarded. Falling into the hands of scammers could leave a bitter taste, and the College will not be responsible for such.
