Fulani Herdsmen Cuts 15-year-old Girl’s Hand In Kaduna After Family Resists Forced Marriage

A 15-year-old girl, identified as Endurance Sabon, has suffered the amputation of her hand following a violent attack linked to an alleged forced marriage attempt in Goska community, Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A family source told SaharaReporters that the incident began when suspected Fulani herdsmen confronted Endurance’s mother while she was working on the family farm. According to the account, the men demanded that the teenager be handed over to them for marriage, repeatedly calling her by name and insisting on their request.

The family reportedly rejected the proposal, after which the situation escalated into violence. In the aftermath, Endurance was brutally attacked, resulting in the loss of her hand.

The incident has sparked outrage within the community, as residents expressed fear over rising cases of intimidation and attacks linked to forced marriages. Security authorities have yet to publicly comment on the incident, while calls for a thorough investigation and justice for the victim continue to grow.
