Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government.

The announcement was made on Monday in a statement signed by Dr. Honour Sirawoo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

According to the statement, Anabraba will be officially sworn in today, Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government House, Port Harcourt.

This appointment comes shortly after Governor Fubara’s return to office, following a period of political tension and his suspension during the emergency rule declared by President Bola Tinubu.
