French football legend, Hugo Lloris has slammed the controversial racist song some Argentina players sang in the wake of their Copa America win over Colombia.  Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez posted a video on social media that appeared to show him and some of his team-mates singing along to a song which  included 'racist and discriminatory language'.  Fernandez is now facing sanctions from the Premier League, while Chelsea is conducting an internal disciplinary procedure.  Now, World Cup-winning captain and goalkeeper Lloris has called the song 'a proper attack on French people', calling for the Albiceleste to provide a better example for young fans.    'They [Argentina] are the face of football right now, in South America, in the world. They deserve a lot of credit for what they have done on the field for the last four or five years,' Lloris said.  'It was a proper attack on the French people, especially for the French people who have some African origin and family.'  'It doesn't matter if you are in a moment of euphoria because you have won an important trophy,' Lloris said. 'It demands even more responsibility when you are a winner.  'You don't want to hear or see this kind of thing in football. We all stand against discrimination and racism.  'I just think and hope it is a mistake. We all make mistakes sometimes and hopefully, they will learn from it.'  Fernandez has since apologised for the video, claiming he was caught up in the 'euphoria' of winning the title, but maintained that the words and sentiments of the song, 'do not reflect my beliefs or my character'.  The chant appears to claim that French players are from Angola', or have a 'Nigerian' mother and a 'Cameroonian' father.       View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post French football legend, Hugo Lloris says controversial racist chant by Enzo Fernandez is an 'attack onFrenchpeople' appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
