FRC Nigeria Wins ISAR Honours for Second Consecutive Year

The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) has earned international recognition for the second consecutive year, winning the 2026 ISAR Honours for its efforts to strengthen the country’s corporate reporting ecosystem.

The latest recognition was announced as Nigeria marked its 66th Independence Anniversary, placing the country among institutions receiving global acknowledgment for advancing high-quality corporate reporting.

The 2026 ISAR Honours recognised the FRC Nigeria’s National Corporate Reporting Knowledge and Digital Reporting Platform, an initiative designed to improve access to technical knowledge, digital reporting resources and continuous professional learning.

The platform provides a centralised digital environment bringing together research, technical resources, learning materials and reporting information to promote greater consistency, comparability and quality in corporate and sustainability reporting.

The latest honour also highlights the leadership of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the FRC Nigeria, Dr. Rabiu Olowo, and the Council’s efforts to position Nigeria’s corporate reporting framework in line with evolving global standards, including the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

The consecutive ISAR recognition underscores the growing international profile of Nigeria’s corporate reporting regulatory framework and the FRC’s efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability and confidence in the nation’s financial reporting environment.

The achievement further reinforces Nigeria’s participation in global efforts to promote quality corporate and sustainability reporting while enhancing the capacity of businesses and professionals to meet emerging international reporting requirements.
