FPTB Matriculation Ceremony 2026 Details

The management of The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, FPTB, has released the timetable for the 2025/2026 academic session matriculation ceremony and the orientation programme for newly admitted students.

The notice came through the Students’ Affairs Office; it sets out the date, time, venue, and the three-day orientation window for fresh students.

The matriculation ceremony will mark the formal admission of new students into the polytechnic.

The event will hold on Saturday, 18 April 2026.

It will begin at 9:30 am prompt at the Stadium Complex.

All Deans and Heads of Department have been directed to attend the ceremony to welcome the new intake.

Fresh students’ orientation at FPTB

Ahead of the matriculation ceremony, the polytechnic has approved a dedicated orientation period for fresh students.

Orientation dates

The orientation exercise will run from Wednesday, 15 April, to Friday, 17 April 2026.

Lecture suspension for fresh students

The management said there will be no lectures for fresh students during the three-day orientation period.

That arrangement gives the new intake full room to take part in the exercise; the message is plain, and the dates are fixed.

What the notice means for new students

The released programme gives fresh students a clear line-up for the week. Orientation will come first, then matriculation will follow on Saturday.

Students can also note that the ceremony will start at 9:30 am prompt, while the venue remains the Stadium Complex.
