Jordan Chiedozie, an English-born Nigerian footballer, is in a coma following a car accident on the motorway.

The 30-year-old had recently played for non-league team Bashley FC in a match against Tavistock. On the way back from the game, Chiedozie and Bashley physio Reighan Taylor experienced a flat tire on the motorway.

Unfortunately, Chiedozie suffered serious injuries after being hit by another vehicle while assessing the tire situation. His injuries are described as life-changing and potentially life-threatening.

Reacting to the incident, the club, in a statement, wrote: “Everyone connected with Bashley Football Club is devastated by the news of our player Jordan Chiedozie, currently in the hospital with life-changing, and potentially life-threatening injuries, after a serious car crash.

“Jordan was taken to Southampton Hospital with multiple broken bones and other physical injuries. At this time, he remains in a controlled coma.”
