Fiorentina submit bid for Super Eagles striker Arokodare

Serie A side Fiorentina have submitted an improved offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers for Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare as they step up their pursuit of the striker.

The Italian club saw their initial bid for the 25-year-old rejected by Wolves last week but have now returned with a revised proposal in an attempt to secure his signature.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina’s latest offer is structured as a season-long loan with an obligation to buy worth €22 million.

“Fiorentina submit new proposal to sign Tolu Arokodare as talks with Wolves continue,” Romano wrote on X.

“Loan with €22m buy clause offered, talks underway with Tolu keen on Fiorentina as next step for his career.”

Negotiations between the two clubs remain ongoing, with Fiorentina optimistic of reaching an agreement for the Super Eagles forward, who has emerged as one of their priority attacking targets this summer.

Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side KRC Genk last summer but endured a difficult debut campaign following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

The striker scored three goals and provided one assist in 33 league appearances for the Molineux outfit.

He remains under contract with Wolves until 2029, with the club holding the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.
