FIBSA Crisis: Pioneer President Appreciates Oyo State Government, Promises More United Students’ Body

I wish to appreciate the intervention of political office holders from Ibarapa zone led by the Rt hon speaker of oyo State ably represented by his chief of staff and his P.A, Hon Bayo Olaniyan and Mr. Seun Arelu respectively.

I also appreciate the current commissioner for trade and investment Hon Ademola Ojo a.k.a. ijaya, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, the Hon. commissioner for youth and sports, the member representing ibarapa North/Central Hon Peter Ojedokun, SSA to the Governor on students affairs, Hon Victor Olojede and FOSSU leadership led by their president, Com Alarape Ibraheem for their unbiased and neutral ground maintained at the FIBSA peace meeting held at the state secretariat on Thursday, 14th march, 2024.

It is incumbent upon me to thank you on behalf of all students and stakeholders of Ibarapa zone. Your position is accepted by all. It has no political colouration as predicted before the meeting. I am pleased that Ibarapa students will have their own bus and other dividends of democracy from the government soon.

In the same vein, I wish to as a matter of duty, appreciate His, Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo state for the donation of 28 buses to the students community in the state.This kind gesture from the governor has rekindled the hope of the students in the state.

Finally, I want to assure the general public that the two-month agreement will not fail, as I am ready to work with the relevant stakeholders (Town presidents) in ibarapa zone to come out with a more united FIBSA.We laboured a lot while creating this platform in 2009 to foster unity amongst ourselves as a people, so we must all be ready to salvage the soul of the FIBSA (Federation of Ibarapa Students Association) from the hands of her enemies and disgruntled elements.
