FG Announces Over 100 Centres Offering Free Maternal Care, VVF Treatment (FULL LIST)

The Federal Government has approved 154 health facilities across Nigeria to provide free medical care for women experiencing complications during pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postpartum period.

These facilities aim to ensure the safety and well-being of both mothers and babies.

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, announced this initiative during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He confirmed that the selected hospitals are well-equipped with skilled medical personnel and modern facilities to deliver high-quality care.

Additionally, 18 specialised centres have been designated nationwide to offer free treatment for vesicovaginal fistula (VVF), a childbirth-related condition that can cause severe health issues for affected women.
