Family Shocked as Daughter Thought Missing and Confirmed Dead Mysteriously Returns Home

A Kenyan woman identified as Sarah Kwamboka from Nyamasimbi Village has shared her shocking story of being unable to return to her family home after being believed dead and buried.

Her mother, Teresa Gesare, revealed that Sarah’s disappearance began last year in November when she was sent to her grandmother’s home in Sansora but never made it back.

After months of searching with no success, the family was devastated when, in February, they received a report that Sarah had allegedly been involved in an accident.

Believing the tragic news to be true, the family performed burial rites, convinced they had laid their daughter to rest.

She said: “Sarah did not reach Sansora, so we began searching for her as a missing person, hoping that she could return home. Later, in February, we received reports that she had been involved in an accident, and her body was in the mortuary”

According to her mother, the family was both confused and overjoyed when they discovered that their daughter had reappeared after being missing for seven months.

Earlier, the family had been led to believe she had died in an accident. They even went as far as preparing for a burial, only to later realize they had laid someone else to rest, thinking it was their daughter.

Teresa explained that the reunion began when she received a phone call one evening, asking her to speak to her daughter.

While the family is grateful and relieved that their daughter is alive, they are also seeking answers about the identity of the person who was mistakenly buried in her place.
