Falconets set for Senegal clash in U-20 women’s World Cup Qualifiers

The Falconets will face Senegal in the third round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers scheduled for February 2026.

The fixture was confirmed after Senegal cruised past Algeria with a 6-0 aggregate victory in the second round.

The Senegalese side claimed a 2-0 win at home before sealing qualification with a dominant 4-0 triumph away in the return leg on Saturday.

The Falconets also advanced in style, defeating Rwanda 4-0 in Ibadan on Saturday after edging the first leg 1-0 in Kigali to secure a 5-0 aggregate win.

Winners from the third round will proceed to the final qualifying round in May 2026. At the end of the qualification series, four teams will represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
