Failed Prophecy: “I Have Decided to Step Back From Public Prophetic Declarations and Pulpit Ministry” — Prophet Bernard Nelson-Eshun

Prophet Bernard Nelson-Eshun has announced a temporary withdrawal from making public prophetic declarations and public ministry following backlash over his failed prophecy concerning the just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.

In a new post titled “Accountability Statement,” the prophet said the decision follows his recent public apology in which he admitted missing it in his prophetic declarations about the outcome of the NPP presidential race.

According to him, he has chosen, in humility and accountability, to take a short and intentional pause from making public prophetic declarations, particularly those related to national and political matters. He explained that the move is meant to allow for reflection, prayer, counsel, and a strengthening of accountability in how prophetic revelations are received, interpreted, and communicated.

Prophet Nelson-Eshun further disclosed that, in the same spirit of responsibility, he has also decided to step back for a season from public teaching, preaching, and pulpit ministry. He described the decision as deliberate and voluntary.

“In the same spirit of responsibility, I have also decided to step back for a season from public teaching, preaching, and pulpit ministry. This is a deliberate and voluntary step to allow for reflection, prayer, counsel, and the strengthening of accountability in how prophetic revelations are received, interpreted, and communicated.

“I am not stepping away from my calling or from ministry altogether. I remain committed to personal prayer, study, and quiet pastoral responsibility, while intentionally realigning myself in growth, integrity, and discernment,” he wrote.

Despite stepping back, the prophet clarified that he is not abandoning his calling or ministry entirely. He stated that he remains committed to personal prayer, study, and quiet pastoral responsibilities while intentionally realigning himself in growth, integrity, and discernment.

“I value the trust of the people I serve, and I do not take it lightly,” he noted, while thanking the public for their prayers, patience, and understanding during this period.

This latest statement comes after Prophet Bernard Nelson-Eshun earlier issued an apology over a prophecy he made regarding the just ended NPP presidential primaries, admitting that he “missed it” and expressing deep regret over the outcome.
