Exposed: Dr. Perkins Reveals How He Rejected First Lady Remi Tinubu’s Request To Use His Platform for “Cover Up”

Popular American TV show host, Tony Perkins has revealed that he outrightly rejected Nigeria’s first lady, Remi Tinubu his platform, accusing her of desperately trying to cover up the Christian persecûtion in Nigeria.

Dr. Perkins, the host of Washington Watch made this known while hosting U.S. lawmaker, Chris Smith on his tv show on February 4, on the topic “religious freedom”. Talking about Nigeria and the plight of christians in the country, Dr. Perkins revealed on air that Remi Tinubu had approached him to seek to be given the platform to talk about religious freedom in Nigeria and inadvertently downplay reports of christian genócide in Nigeria.

He explained that he instantly rebuffed the Nigeria’s first lady, telling her that he will not give her the platform to speak lies to the Americans in her bid to downplay reports of christian genócide in Nigeria.

“The First Lady of Nigeria was here this week, and in fact, they wanted to come on the programme to talk about religious freedom, and I said, ‘I’m not gonna meet with them or have a meeting with anybody,. “I’m not gonna give them a platform to cover up what they’re doing in Nigeria,” Mr Perkins said.

The statement came in response to Mr. Chris Smith’s concerns over the Nigeria’s leadership contracting a lobbying firm in America to downplay Christian genócide in Nigeria. According to the lawmaker, the Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has severally denied the allegation of Christian genócide in Nigeria, labeling the viólent attacks on Christian communities by suspected Fulani Jihàdists as farmer-herder clash, community clashes and others yet his administration hired an American lobbying firm to downplay what he had denied severally.

Recall that the Nigeria’s first lady, Remi Tinubu was in the United States of America last week where she attended the US National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC and was publicly recognized by president Donald Trump who described her a respected woman and a pastor in the biggest church in Nigeria.
